projectVONK Museum
With the expansion and transformation of the preHistorisch Dorp into Museumpark Vonk, Eindhoven will gain a unique museum building. VONK is the first museum building in the Netherlands to use biobased materials and sustainable techniques on a large scale and in many different ways. The green roof garden, supported by an impressive wooden construction and outer walls of lime hemp, make the building look like a section of the landscape that rises above the ground.

projectWateratlas central Nieuwe Maas
With the move of the harbor towards the sea in the west, many port activities have disappeared from the city. Since then, the river has been (re)discovered as an important "central park" in the heart of the city, offering expansive views, tranquility, and space for new urban and ecological developments. The city has turned its face towards the river, but the former harbor basins remain largely empty and untouched, while the potential of all this water is enormous. The Wateratlas is a design research into the current and future use of the Nieuwe Maas, with the following research question: How can we better utilize the water of the central Nieuwe Maas while considering the needs and desires of water users, residents of surrounding neighborhoods, the scale and size of the water, and the future developments of the city?
projectLiving landscapes 3.0
In the Netherlands, urbanization, nature, and agriculture vie for precious space. There is a significant shortage of housing, biodiversity is under pressure, and agriculture needs to adapt. Is it possible to reconcile these challenges? Can we envision residential landscapes that are self-sustaining and accommodate organic food production, sustainable energy generation, and nature? A healthier, more sustainable, and more socially conscious living environment, where homes are constructed with natural materials sourced locally?

projectBiesbosch Museum Island
The museum has been completely transformed and extended with a new wing that opens to its beautiful surroundings and houses a restaurant and temporary exhibition space for contemporary art. The permanent exhibition that explains the historical development of the region has also been totally revamped. A large water model of the Biesbosch and a freshwater tidal park are also planned on the Museum Island. Building, interior, water model and freshwater tidal park were designed by Studio Marco Vermeulen, and the exhibition was designed by Studio Joyce Langezaal.
projectArchitecture month
The floating festival hub consists of three enormous push barges temporarily docked at the historic Maassilo in the Maashaven. These barges are typically used for transporting raw materials such as salt, sand, and ores. However, during the Architecture Month, these iconic vessels will be transformed and made accessible to the public.
