Science Park in Southeast Brabant, after TU/e, High Tech Campus, and ASML, has the largest concentration of knowledge workers in the region. It is under pressure from increased density and parking issues. The anticipated rise in knowledge workers, as forecasted by Prodrive, will significantly alter the spatial character of the area. This presents a challenge to balance further densification with maintaining a high quality of work and living environments. A clear and widely supported vision for the future is essential to guide the spatial development of Science Park, ensuring that both growth and spatial quality are preserved.

Ambitions
For a future-proof Science Park, it is crucial to use space sustainably and efficiently, emphasizing multi-use and temporary usage. We aim for outdoor spaces that are landscape-friendly, biodiverse, and healthy, without cars and fences at ground level, and with connections to nearby recreational areas for walking and sports.
Architecture will be open and transparent, featuring vibrant ground floors and sustainable materials. Shared amenities such as restaurants, sports facilities, event spaces, and cultural venues will contribute to a lively environment. A mobility concept will ensure good accessibility by bike, car, and public transport. Lastly, the environmental impact will be minimal, achieved through sustainable energy and material use, increased biodiversity, and clean surface water.

Spatial Plan
The central green space will be the heart of Science Park. This area will serve as a gathering place for people to meet, have lunch together, and relax. It is logical to concentrate shared amenities around this space. This can be done by placing individual buildings or utilizing the ground floors of surrounding buildings for functions such as restaurants and lunch cafes with terraces, which will animate the green space. The central part of this space is ideal for a uniquely designed lunch café. The fish pond area offers space for a large-scale facility with conference, restaurant, and sports amenities. This center has the potential to be similar to De Strip at the High Tech Campus and could serve as a recreational gateway to the fish pond outside office hours. This building will have significant visual appeal for Science Park, akin to De Strip's role at the High Tech Campus.
